OVERVIEW:
Explore ancient European and Jewish history and architecture in Cochin’s church and synagogue, encounter exotic wildlife and nature at Periyar National Park, and take a romantic cruise on a houseboat over the shimmering backwaters of Alleppey. Day 01: Arrival in Cochin
Arrive at the Cochin International airport. Our representative will meet you on at the airport and assist you in your transfer to Cochin hotel.
Overnight stay at a hotel in Cochin.

Day 02: Cochin-Munnar (140 Km / 04 Hrs.)
After breakfast, you will be going for a half-day sightseeing tour of Cochin. You’ll first visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, built by the Portuguese in 1503. Next proceed to the Jewish synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in India, built in 1568. Its interiors are decorated with antique Belgian chandeliers and lamps, floor tiles from China, and other delightful things to see. Then you’ll visit the site were the large Chinese fishing nets are installed. These nets are a major tourist attraction here. Take a break for lunch, before beginning a scenic drive toward Munnar. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, enjoy watching Kathakali performance. This classical dance drama of Kerala dates back to at least the 1st millennium CE.

Day 03: Munnar
After breakfast, proceed to explore Munnar. Your sightseeing includes visit to the lush tea gardens, the scenic Mattupetty Lake and Dam, Echo Point, a local chocolate factory, where you can taste home-made chocolates, and a spice/herb garden with an Ayurveda experience. Also visit Eravikulam National Park,( The National Park remains closed during February to 1st week of April every year) home to the rare and endangered mountain goat species - Nilgiri Tahr. Return to the hotel.

04: Munnar-Thekkady (110 Km / 3 and ½ Hrs.)
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for Thekkady, a place blessed with elephants, unending chains of hills and aromatic spice plantations. On arrival, check in to the Hotel. Later visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected reserve for the elephants and the tigers. It is one of the best wildlife sanctuary in India, spanning an area of 935 sq. km and replete with scenic beauty and rich biodiversity, set high at the Western Ghat Mountain ranges.
Return to the hotel. Indulge in a relaxing Kerala Ayurveda spa (Optional).
Overnight stay at a hotel in Thekkady.

Day 05: Thekkady - Alleppey (Houseboat)
Enjoy breakfast before driving to Alleppey, often referred to as the “Venice of the East”, owing to its picturesque canals, backwaters, beaches & lagoons. On arrival, you will board the Houseboat that will take you on a cruise around the stunning backwaters, where you can sight the local life and business. Enjoy dinner on-board.

Day 06: Alleppey-Cochin (54 Km)
Enjoy breakfast and spend leisure time on the houseboat. Later at 0900 Hrs. boat arrives at Alleppey finishing point jetty. Check out from the houseboat and drive to Cochin, where you’ll be transferred to the airport for a flight to your onward destination.

  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary / stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health and roadblocks and / or any factors beyond control.

  • The tour price given above is per person. If yours is a group of 05 or more, it will get discounted. Reach us to know the discounted offer.
  • All the overnight tours need to be confirmed a week before the tour commencement date , as it involves hotel and flight reservations.
  • You may get the internal flight tickets booked on your own. However, we can always assist you provided that we receive the airfare payment in advance. Any increase in fare at the time of actual reservation will be charged extra on actual.
  • Flight tickets booking closer to the travel dates usually result in higher airfares.
